For a few years now Allison has wanted a Christmas Tree to put on our front porch. She found a sale on artificial trees and got a beautiful 7 foot one, the lights and the ornaments. She took care of it all. I found a way to secure this tree to the front porch because it blew down (without ornaments or lights on it) right away. We get some nasty bits of wind around here from time to time.

Tonight we decorated both of the trees, the real one inside and the artificial one outside. I think our decorating is getting close to being done, finally.

Allison and I are up for getting new cell phones. The ones we have had for the past 2 years are coming due for upgrades and now it is time for us to start looking. Best Buy is having a sale on the new Sony Xperia 1 Cell Phone that is running from December 9 – December 22nd for $200 off the phone. That one might be a consideration as I look at the impressive specifications.

The Sony Xperia 1 Cell Phone for sale at Best Buy is an unlocked phone. This means I could buy it and bring it to any wireless carrier. This phone is compatible with GSM carriers, including AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon. It also works with GSM SIM kits, including Cricket Wireless, Tracfone, Net10, H2O, AT&T Prepaid, and Simple Mobile.*
4G LTE speed. In addition to being able to run on the fastest networks the phone itself is fast because of Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor which is an octa-core processor and the phone also has 6GB of RAM. This will help in delivering outstanding overall performance for opening and running applications, flipping through menus and more.

Being fast and having great tech specs is awesome but what do we use our phones for most of the time now. We use them for taking photos and videos, plus looking through photo and watching videos. How does the Sony Xperia 1 Cell Phone stack up there? Well, you will be able to see a lot with the phone and it will be in 4K with a 6.5″ 4K HDR OLED touch screen with 3840 x 1644 resolution. The extra-large screen is matched with a slim body to comfortably fit in your hand. The 21:9 extended display ensures easier multitasking and immersive viewing. Gorilla Glass 6 resists shocks and scratches. That means that whatever you are watching is going to look incredible! Not only can you watch in 4K but you can capture 4K HDR movies. There is a 2X optical zoom so you can capture more details and still keep good quality. The front facing camera is 8.MP so your selfies and videos will look really nice. The rear facing camera is a 12.0MP one with a triple lens system. It also has Motion Eye that lets you capture slow-motion videos at up to 960 frames per second for staggering films. After learning more about this phone I may have to put it on the short list of contenders for my phone’s replacement in the next few months.
