GoVacation from Nintendo Switch

Review: Go Vacation for the Nintendo Switch

Our GoVacation and Nintendo Switch

Last February the family took an incredible vacation on a cruise and that came with tons of fun activities to do at a resort. We had never been to something like that before where there were so many things available for us to do. The thing is, each of the activities costs some money. There is no way we could have done everything. With the Summer coming to a close and the weather getting cooler – Soon I hope, I love Fall. Now we have a fun way to enjoy all sorts of resort activities. Well, virtually at least.

We received a copy of the new Go Vacation game for the Nintendo Switch to play with and review. Opinions are 100% our own.

With Go Vacation you can take your family on a trip of a lifetime and do so many fun activities like Jet Ski all around a tropical island. In the game they call Jet Skis water bikes so when you first start the game and they say go to the water bikes you are supposed to find jet skis. Then you take those and start your fun by racing them around a course. You can also do all sorts of tricks as you race to earn points. Take a look at the trailer for the game below.

With Go Vacation you can play solo, or with up to 3 other players. Each person using a single Joy-Con to play. Or if you have other controllers you can play a variety of ways. If you have multiple copies of the game and multiple Nintendo Switches you can play via Local Wireless, too. The games are a mixture of competitive and cooperative. I’ve played through several of the four resorts and I’ve enjoyed many of the games. In-Line Skating is my favorite because you can basically go anywhere in the City Resort.

In the game you can visit four different resorts. You start out at the Marine Resort and then earn your way to the City and then Snow Resorts by playing a bunch of mini games. Ultimately you can also access the Mountain resort.

There are just so many things to do in the game and it keeps changing as you continue to play. You can pick up a sidekick to follow you around, a dog. You can get more clothes to customize the look of your character. You can even get a villa and furnish it. Each day that you sign in to play you get a special prize pack that could be clothing or other gear. I’ve been playing a lot and each time is a whole new adventure. If you were a fan of Wii Sports or Wii Sports Resort then you are going to love this HD game with great graphics and so much more to do. Take your whole family skydiving from the comfort of your couch. It is a super fun rush! You can learn more about the game at govacation.nintendo.com and additional details are below.
