This whole vacation was very busy with cleaning out the house and getting things ready to list. While we didn’t get incredibly far we did have to take some time to spend together and we did that this morning. Allison and I discussed several options and decided that we would keep it simple. We had two places that we would go to and visit. They were local and easy to get to. We kept things very low-key.

The Kids First Trip to PVDonuts

The first place that we stopped was PVDonuts. It isn’t a long drive from us and it is always super busy because they make incredibly decadent donuts. They constantly come up with new ones, too. They are even doing a Game of Thrones ones every Sunday until the show is over. They did some crazy ones already.

PVDonuts

We must have gotten there at a good time because we did not have to wait that long. We decided to each get one donut and share them. We got a Chocolate Tahini Brownie, a Snickers Cake, A Maple Bacon and a Rocky Road. The Rocky Road even had a homemade marshmallow on it. Some donuts were Brioche, some cake and they were all incredible.

My Dragon

After the donuts we went to Pea Poddery and spent several hours painting some projects. Allison picked a new Mug, Andrew a snack bowl, Eva a cereal bowl and I found a dragon ornament.

Andrews Snack bowl

Andrew did a really nice job on his and then Eva helped him finish it up and get some more color on it. This show was right before Eva started working on it.

Allisons new mug

I’m looking forward to seeing Allison’s finished mug. She had the kids use their fingers to make the little balls of yarn. The opposite side says “Get Knit Done”. We had a really nice time and it was great to do something totally different together for the day.
