A Happy 37th Birthday to Me

Photo-A-Day #2192

Today was my 37th birthday. Wow, time sure flies along. I had one of my best birthdays ever, too. The day was filled with family, friends, food and lots of FUN!

We started the day off with a trip to Panera in Newton. My friend Mommy Niri invited Eva and I to a special event there. Because it was my birthday Allison came along with us as well. The event was for parents and kids. We were introduced to a bunch of the different breads that Panera makes and then we got to make our own breads. We each got to make baguettes even the kiddos. Eva had so much fun and then she got to decorate sugar cookies, too. We were given lunch as well. I’m going to write up a full on recap of the event tomorrow.

after Panera we drove into Boston to go to the Museum of Science. The great thing about having our yearly Capron Park Zoo family passes means that we get free admission into the Museum!

Before we arrived at the Museum, however; we received a call from our Real Estate Agent. She first sang me a Happy Birthday song and then informed us that our offer on a house in Attleboro was accepted! Yep, we made an offer on a house and it got accepted. We’re pretty excited about that! Again the Capron Park Zoo passes will come in handy because from the new house we can walk there! I may even become a docent to help with the zoo. You know what made a difference in our case. We sent along a personal letter about how much we liked the house and how we could see our family grow in that home.

The museum was a lot of fun. Eva had so many things to see and to play with. She loves pushing all the buttons that she can. We tried all sorts of things like dropping things from great heights, drawing special images for infrared cameras and she had a conversation with a docent about Tamarin monkeys. I can imagine as she gets older she’s going to really love the Museum of Science, especially as she learns from Auntie Tara. My favorite part of the museum was seeing Cliff the Triceratops. The Triceratops is my favorite dinosaur ever! Eva liked it too.

After the museum we had dinner at Texas Roadhouse. I had a delicious Ribeye steak and fried pickles. Dinner was fun and Eva even did some line dancing! She followed along with a one of the servers and she kept up too. Then they brought over the saddle for me. I had never seen anyone who had a birthday at Texas Roadhouse but I got to experience it firsthand. Allison snapped a photo of me on the saddle.

  2. Looks like you enjoyed your “37th” Birthday. The last time I remember seeing you on a saddle it was slipping off the horse. Maybe I should find that picture and show Eva. Good luck with the house hope every thing goes through.

    1. Dad,

Thank you. We hope that the house goes through as well. We are all very excited.

Id’ love to see that horse photo. I didn’t realize that you had captured that moment on film. It has been a long time since I’d seen that photo. I’m sure Eva would love it.
