App Alert: Frozen Storybook Deluxe

Frozen Storybook Deluxe

We received a download code for Disney’s Frozen: Storybook Deluxe. Opinions of the app are 100% our own.

The other day we took the kids to see Disney’s Frozen and they loved it. Eva has been talking about the movie for months now. It doesn’t help that I learn about these things early and share them with her when I think she’ll like something and thus setting up the excitement. So, it is my fault to a degree. We knew that eventually we would see the movie but to tide us over we were able to read and play with the brand new app, Frozen Storybook Deluxe.

Switch between character perspectives

With each new Disney Storybook Deluxe app something new and interesting gets added. For Frozen you actually flip your device to get the other side of the story. Reading and interacting with the storybook we learn the story of Disney’s newest smash hit movie from the perspectives of both Anna and Elsa. There are clips from the movie and some fun mini games to go along with it. Eva enjoyed very much being able to create snowflakes and snow globes and more. Now that we have seen the movie she is even more excited about reading the story. Here is an official description of the app and a link to download it from the iTunes App store.

Snowflake Maker

How far would you go to save your city from eternal winter? In Disney’s newest app, Frozen: Storybook Deluxe, fearless optimist Anna sets off on an epic journey—teaming up with rugged mountain man Kristoff and his loyal reindeer, Sven—to find her sister, Elsa, whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in eternal winter.

Based on Disney’s animated-film Frozen (in theaters November 27), Frozen: Storybook Deluxe is designed to encourage beginning readers with various storytelling options: Read on your own, Record your own voice, and Listen to the narration with text. In an all-new feature, kids can flip their device upside-down to hear the Frozen story told by dueling sisters Anna and Elsa.

Additional features include:

  • Create and build frozen scenes and crystal palaces with your “ice craft” tools
  • Short clips from the actual film
  • Ice puzzles and games
  • Surprising and fun tappable activities
