Back from #BWE10 – One Long Night

Blurry Moon
Photo-A-Day #2019

I got home today at 5:45am. Got to my car which was not keyed by an angry Audi owner, either. That was a pleasant surprise. It was a pretty uneventful flight home and I am so glad that I was in First class and had the room to just chill out. I got into my car and headed for work.

If I was to do this over again I would not take a red eye and go right to work. I was a mess as I tried to work with my two trainees. I had to spend six hours talking. That was a messy scene because my mind fought between wandering everywhere or shutting off completely. I really needed the sleep and there was a moment when I looked at the word reflex thought of the Princess and the Frog for some weird reason and then said “alligators”. Luckily I was working with someone who understood my strange sleeping during demos, even my own ones.

I was so relieved to finally get home. Seeing Allison and Eva was wonderful. It was so hard getting home and then having to go to work and wait to get home. That was rough. I was also exhausted so I fell asleep waiting for them to come home, I made it home before them. I was woken up by a very excited Eva and that was awesome.

We had dinner together and then Allison went to a prayer shawl meeting and I put Eva to bed. We sat together and read “Don’t Forget the Oatmeal” and “Ladybug Girl”. Those are fun books. Then I held Eva’s hand for a little bit as she drifted off to sleep. I had the house to myself and went outside to see the moon, it looked cool so I tried some of the manual settings on the Kodak M580 to see if I could get good shots of it. Not so much, but I tried and used a tripod. Today’s photo was the best I captured.

Allison got home later and the two of us watched a couple of episodes of How I met Your Mother, and went to sleep early.

I hate that the whole day felt like a Friday because it was only Monday and the full week is ahead. But I have some cool things to look forward to. Like Thursday something very cool is being delivered to me to test out. Not going to say anything until it is here. Thursday though, gonna be cool.
