Back to Buttonwood

Photo-A-Day #3380

We took the kids to Buttonwood Park Zoo today. Dan and Marcia were with us for the day and we all explored the zoo together. I was given a Samsung Galaxy Camera 2 for a special assignment for the Imagelogger program. I was asked to take some family fun photos with the camera for use in a segment upcoming on QVC. The camera is very cool. It has a 21X Optical zoom and a huge screen but it also doubles as a small tablet and runs Android Jelly Bean. I opened the package yesterday and have been setting up all my accounts on it so that I can post directly from the camera. such a cool feature.

The new Buttonwood Park Zoo Train

This time around the highlight was the carousel. Andrew wasn’t so into it last time we went but this time he loved going round and round and round. I think that the kids are both going to enjoy the company picnic this year. At least the carousel. The kids also enjoyed the new train. The zoo has a brand new beautiful train that they take people around on for short trips around the zoo.

Coyote

We got there early enough that we saw many of the animals active and having their meals. I loved seeing the coyote peeking out from his little den where he hung out to keep cool. There were also some sweet turtles in one area and I was able to get some cool pictures of them.

After our trip to the zoo we had a late lunch at Evelyn’s Drive In in Tiverton, RI. We missed out on going the last time we went to the zoo but this time we had to stop. We got a Fisherman’s Platter to split with the table and some additional Clam Cakes and Chowder. The kids split some chicken fingers and we were all stuffed from the meal.
