Bienvenido a Miami for the PBS Kids VIPS

Photo-A-Day #2957

Today I flew to Miami for the PBS Annual Meeting. I’m one of the PBS Kids VIPs (Very Involved Parents). As a group we promote the fantastic kids programming that is on PBS. I attended the conference last year and it was so much fun, but we were there for such a short time. This year we got to attend for three days. I couldn’t wait to see my friends again. I was also excited to learn all about the full line of programming on PBS.

When I arrived at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach. There was a PBS Kids VIP room where we met up and got snacks and drinks and mingle with each other. They had these sweet cookies with the PBS Kids logo on them as well as some great gift bags and special nametags for each of us. The meeting would prove to be filled with some amazing fun for all of us.

I checked into my room which had an incredible view of the beach. It was so beautiful and I even had a balcony to hang out on. I got to see some great sunrises on that balcony, too.

We attended the opening night reception. It had a theme of Havana Nights. There was a band and mojitos as well as passed appetizers. The short rib tacos were delicious. There was even a photo booth there where we could put on hats and things and make funny faces.

We were also joined by Princess Pea and super Why from Super Why and I posed for a photo with Daniel Tiger from Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood.

After the opening reception the PBS Kids VIPs went to the restaurant Juvia for a rooftop dinner with views of the city of Miami.

Food was served family style and every bite was amazing and looked as good as it tasted. There were plenty of bloggers on hand so we took a TON of photos. I had such a wonderful time at dinner. Night number one was fantastic and I was excited for the next couple of days.
