We’re Returning to the Realm

KRF 2022

Each year we have the pleasure of visiting King Richard’s Faire as guests of the realm. I receive press passes to take the whole family on a day’s long adventure to Carvershire (Carver, MA) where we see fantastic sights and try earthly delights. We’re greeted by wonderful people that we enjoy visiting with each and every year. It is a magical happy place for us and we love our yearly trips. We’re headed back on Labor day for another fun filled family adventure. There are some new events, foods and more for us to explore and for you, too. I’m going to share with you all that is new with King Richard’s Faire in their 42nd season!

King Richard’s Faire opens its season September 2nd as New England’s largest and longest-running Renaissance festival in Carver, Mass.

CARVER, Mass. (August 15, 2023) – Open wide the gates! For the 42nd year, King Richard’s Faire offers a full season of music and merriment as New England’s largest and longest-running Renaissance Faire. Located on an enchanting 80-acre wooded site off Rt. 58 in Carver, Mass., the Faire’s shady tree-lined paths lead visitors through a magical village ruled by King Richard, Queen Anne and their royal court. The Renaissance-themed festival welcomes visitors to spend the day amongst colorful acrobats, aerialists, jugglers, fire-eaters, musicians, dancers, and puppeteers throughout the realm.

King Richard’s Faire opens Saturday, September 2nd, and runs weekends and Monday holidays through October 22nd. Faire hours are 10:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. each day.

During this exciting season, King Richard’s Faire offers the region’s best live entertainment, including eight stages featuring hundreds of local and national performers, shopping, and exciting rides and games for a full day to “escape YOUR reality.” Guests of all ages will be dazzled by brave knights battling three times daily on the jousting tournament field, and bawdy beggars competing in the Mud Pit. Frolicking faeries can be seen dancing through the forest, and wee ones can ride a unicorn and watch royal dogs perform tricks on stage. Throughout the realm, happy villagers help Faire attendees escape into a fantastical, whimsical world where they can interact with performers, puppets, pirates, pipers and princesses for an entire day. Unlike a stage or filmed production, King Richard’s Faire connects on a personal level for a full day of live, immersive entertainment unlike any other theatrical attraction. Last Capron Park Food Truck Night of The Summer

At The Food Truck Night
Photo-A-Day 2.0 #01691

Tonight was the last night for Food Trucks at Capron Park for the Summer. I decided that it was time for a mental health day so I called out to work so I could enjoy this night with the family. We walked over and everyone got $20 to go and purchase their own meals. We got their early enough so that the lines were not too long. Eva went with her tried and true pick of Friskies Fries and their General Tso’s chicken fries. Allison got a lobster roll and I picked up Mexican Street Corn Lobster nachos. They were actually less than her lobster roll but were packed with so much lobster. It was the best thing that I had ever had at the Food Truck event.

Andy also went off on their own. Andy had their cell phone and so would text us. Andy took photos of each of the food truck menus so that they could make a decision on what to eat. Although, in the end Andy choose a burger and wasn’t that thrilled with it. Andy did later on go and get some Kona ice with all the red flavors in it. They seemed to like that more.

On the way out Allison and I got a chocolate churro with a cookie and vanilla ice cream. It was a very tasty dessert. We had a nice night there enjoying all that there was to offer at the event. So much fun.
