Birthday Boy Brunch

Andrew's Birthday Brunch

I have had a tradition with Eva to take her for breakfast on her birthday. This year we had a very nice one and last year we had one that we would never forget. With Andrew I haven’t done this but am starting to make that a tradition also. So, this morning we had dentist appointments and they were very good. We were over in North Attleboro so we stopped at Northworks for a late lunch, a birthday brunch. He was good at breakfast.

After our meal we ran a few errands and Andrew was getting tired. He actually fell asleep in the carriage at Market Basket. Then he woke up and stood up in the seat so that I could carry him through the store. I did and he feel back asleep. One of my favorite feelings in the world is when my children fall asleep in my arms. That is not just because I’d get a few hours to myself. His warm little breath on my neck and how he’s gone so relaxed in my arms. It is one of my favorite moments that happens often.

A Night in Providence Celebrating Our 10th Anniversary

At PPAC in Providence for Book of Mormon

For our 10th Anniversary we went out for a night on the town in Providence. My parents were kind enough to watch the kids overnight so we could stay out and enjoy ourselves without having to rush home for a babysitter. We decided to go and see The Book of Mormon at Providence Performing Arts Center and before that have dinner at Aspire. I’d completely recommend to anyone who was going to PPAC for a shot to catch their dinner at Aspire. They have a nice menu and on theater nights they do a special theater menu. When I made the reservations I put on them that it was our 10th Anniversary and so with our dessert there was this special message.

Our Anniversary Dessert

After our meal it was a quick walk up the street to the theater. The Book of Mormon was very funny. Both Allison and I were laughing ourselves silly at the show. Really well done. The play was written by the guys who write South Park. It is about a couple of Mormon missionaries in Africa and what happens to them. As I watched the play I kept thinking that one character had to have been played by Jack Black at some point. On the ride home Allison looked it up and it wasn’t Jack Black that I was thinking of, but Josh Gad.
