Checkup Time for the Kitties

Photo-A-Day #1921

Tonight I took Oliver and Duncan to the Vet. We take them to the Foxboro Animal Hospital because it is one of the best animal hospitals around. I know because I’ve been in rooms with some terrible doctors at other places. But, at this animal hospital you can tell that the doctors care about the animals and their owners. They are so good with Oliver and Duncan and that is what makes it for us.

Oliver has put on one pound and he’s creeping close to 11lbs. Duncan however is another case. Duncan has lost weight, a significant amount. He’s down to 7.5lbs. He’s also got a little fever and he’s been a bit lethargic. I decided that we’d go with the blood work option and see what that will tell us. We should hear back from the vet tomorrow. The boys were pretty good while we were there and we got to be in the Window room. The tech put Oliver up on the window sill and he liked being up there. I tried to put Duncan up there but he was not having it and hid behind the chair or the trash basket. They are both resting now. And so am I after all that wailing through the whole ride to and from the vet.

  1. I think a trip to the vet would make for a great vlog. Our cats make noises that I didn’t think were possible. Your cats are lightweights compared to our cat, Larry, who tops out at 14 pounds. Vet says he’s not overweight, just big, and had to go grab the dog scale to confirm. We’re in trouble!

    1. Greg,

You could record the cat noises and play them at Halloween to scare the crap out of the neighborhood kids.
