Crest Pro Health Invigorating Clean Rinse

Starting my Crest Pro-Health Invigorating Clean Multi-Protection Rinse Test Drive

Crest Pro Health Invigorating Clean RinseOn Monday the 28th I started using Crest Pro-Health Invigorating Clean Multi-Protection Rinse as part of my daily oral health regimen. I received this bottle for a month long test of the mouthwash. A ways back I was doing a campaign with Sonicare and during that campaign everyone but me got new Sonicare toothbrushes. I was so impressed with results that I had to get one of my own. I used that for a while and then had a checkup. I came out of that checkup with good marks and more admonishment about not flossing. So I added flossing as well. I see the addition of mouthwash as the third side of the oral health equation.

So, for the next month I’ll be using this bottle of Crest Pro-Health Invigorating Clean Multi-Protection Rinse and at the end of the month (April 25th) I’ll let you know how things have gone. So far this has been pretty decent. I used a mouthwash off and on over the years but wasn’t really faithful about it. I’d do it in the morning and maybe skip a week and then do it one night and skip a few days. So, as you can see, I did not use mouthwash consistently.

Crest Pro-Health Invigorating Clean Multi-Protection Rinse claims to roll six benefits in one. These come from a fact sheet that I received as well.

  • Kills germs
  • Reduces plaque
  • Helps prevent gingivitis
  • Keeps teeth cleaner longer (vs. brushing alone)
  • Freshens breath
  • Invigorating sensation

Here are some additional benefits of using Crest Pro-Health Invigorating Clean Multi-Protection Rinse.

  • Crest Pro-Health Invigorating Clean Multi-Protection Rinse offers a unique rinsing experience with ingredients that provide an invigorating sensation during use and a lasting cool freshness after use.
  • Invigorating Clean Multi-Protection Rinse delivers a sensation that helps you feel confident that you are taking the right steps to ace your next dental check-up.
  • Enjoy the new flavor experience that helps signal that you are on the path to a healthy mouth.

I enjoy the flavor. I find the color vexing yet a bit cool because it starts out and looks green in the bottle but after I swish and spit it is closer to purple, grey or black and it sort of freaks me out. I’m not sure if this is so that all the bits and pieces of stuff that the rinse has picked up and helped expel from my mouth. I know it is getting some junk out because I can see it in what I spit out. So I’m already seeing the benefits of adding this to my oral health regimen.

Disclosure: I wrote this review while participating in a test drive campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Crest and received a sample to facilitate my candid review. Mom Central Consulting sent me a gift card to thank me for taking the time to participate.

  1. Wow, talk about an unnerving experience! I don’t know that I’d really be all that happy to be spitting out black liquid that looks so pretty emerald green in the bottle!

I’m an rabid fan of mouthwashes, though. The sensation of a less-than-freshly-cleaned mouth has always been one of my pet peeves; I keep a toothbrush, travel-sized toothpaste, floss, and mouthwash in my purse wherever I go, plus another toothbrush sitting on my desk for when I’m working long hours. Then I can just sort of polish/brush as I work. It’s soothing, and my dentist is always so amazed at just how awesome my dental health is. (kinda geeky, I know; I can’t help it!)

Good luck with this review, and have fun with it! I hope it really changes your habits and your oral health!

    1. Delena,

Thanks. I didn’t find it unnerving at all. It was weird but I’m pretty loose like that. 🙂

  2. I presonally like act restoring. My dentist swears by it and says it can actually help reverse small amounts of decay. It is basically a floride mouthwash.

How are you going to quantify your testing? Did you do a before and after with your dentist? Perhaps we could get Eva some dental instruments and she could do a before and after exam for you. I would be willing to sponsor Eva’s at home dental education so long as she never touches my teeth.

    1. Andy,

I’ve tried ACT as well. As far as a way to measure my progress, I’m not sure since it isn’t really feasible to have a dentist appointment before and after this trial. I guess, I’ll just know how things have been feeling. I know, incredibly scientific.
