Day 1 of Dad 2.0 Summit 2016

On the Train to Washington DC
Photo-A-Day #3965

Today I took the train from Providence down to Washington, D.C. for the Dad 2.0 Summit. I was actually pretty productive on the ride down, too. So I am happy with that. The ride was a rather long one but it went by quickly. It was an 8 hour trip and the only time I had been in a train that long before was a trip to New York when the electricity on the lines was out. I was stressing out on that trip. None of that today despite an hour or so delay. But with wi-fi that was fairly decent the whole way down I kept up on what everyone else was doing and was able to do some work.

This is an interesting thing for me because I had not really done much in the way of meeting up with other dads in the dad blogging space since 2010. It has taken me 5 years to get to one of these events and I am going to try and get the most out of it. I did turn in fairly early to do today’s vlog and also because the welcome party was getting pretty loud. No need for me to lose my voice on the first day.

When I got back to my room I was greeted with a great bag of fun things from the conference sponsors. You can hear and see all of it on today’s vlog.
