Dining Out Using the Red Robin Interactive Allergen Menu – $25 Gift Card Giveaway

Kid's Meals choices.

My family frequently visits Red Robin. Ever since I went to one in Vancouver, Canada I had been waiting to find one near me. This happened a few years ago at Patriot Place in Foxboro. We go often for birthdays because of the Red Robin Royalty program and the free birthday burgers. We also love the bottomless fries and freckled lemonade. We also like how well Red Robin handles Andrew’s milk allergy. Every time we go in and we let our server know about his allergy they are very attentive to our needs.

Pretzel Bites

We recently went for another meal at Red Robin after checking out the Interactive Allergen Menu at the Customizer Hub. The Red Robin information and gift cards have been provided by Red Robin. This is a new area of the Red Robin site that gives you menu suggestions based on allergens that you want to avoid. Allergens that you can choose from are Milk, Eggs, Gluten, Wheat, Fish, Shellfish, Peanuts, Tree Nuts and Soy. It is a very easy to use tool.

Here is some additional information about the Interactive Allergen Menu:

  • Red Robin’s Customizer Hub on RedRobin.com allows Guests to test-drive different combinations of ingredients and enjoy their Red Robin menu favorites while keeping within their dietary restrictions. The Customizer Hub gives guest two options: “Customize Your Nutrition” and “Build a Customized Allergen Menu.”
  • Red Robin’s Interactive Allergen Menu provides order recommendations based on guests’ allergies and allows them to view a menu that is tailored to their specific dietary needs.
  • Red Robin trains all restaurant Team Members to allow guests to modify their Red Robin food or beverage order to suit their taste or dietary preferences. If a guest has a food allergy, the Red Robin team member will ring in the order with an allergy alert and bright type so it is clear on the table order.
  • This allergen alert appears in easily noticeable bright, red and bold letters on the order and notifies the kitchen that a special allergen kit is required for the order. Red Robin uses allergen kits to prepare all allergen orders. The kits include tools that are for use on allergen orders only and are purple to clearly distinguish them from other kitchen tools. Purple is the color of Allergen Awareness.
  • Red Robin provides the guest with information so they can make an educated decision on what to order themselves, whether it’s for food intolerances or food allergies.

Seafood Scramble

We get burgers from Red Robin so often that this time we decided to try a few different items. Allison ordered a limited time special, the crabcake burger and I got the seafood scatter. We shared those meals while Andrew enjoyed a corndog and Eva got the chicken on a stick. We also ordered some pretzel bites for an appetizer and the fruffles for the dessert. Fruffles were interesting, not what I expected but pretty tasty. The pretzel bites are always a huge hit and Andrew can have them as long has he doesn’t eat the dipping sauce.
