EvaBear and Twitter Kept Me Sane

Photo-A-Day #2106

Today I ended up in Detroit for an extra day. I got in super late last night because of all the bad information from the airlines. We were told that there would be a shuttle to the airport but there was not. So I hopped a cab with another passenger and the two of use went to the hotel. I had a short night’s sleep there because I got up and worked remotely from my hotel room. The Hyatt was great, they let me stay in my room until 5:00pm.

At 4:45pm I went to check out and catch the shuttle to the airport early. I then found out that the shuttle wasn’t running anymore. The shuttle only ran until 12 Noon. No one told me that. Not the gate agent, not the hotel, no one. So I ended up taking another $40 cab ride back to the airport.

I got back to the airport and got on my flight home on time and was home around 12:30am. Eva came and got into our bed at 3:00am. Coming home was great, however coming home to a sick house wasn’t exactly fun. But it was much better than being trapped in Detroit another night.

This is my own personal DSLR camera that I bought half of. My mother-In-Law bought the other half as an investment of great photos of her grandchildren. With over 26,000 photos of Eva and counting, I’d say she got great ROI on the investment. The opinions about them are 100% mine.
