Going Gold Again

Photo-A-Day #1891

This morning we were back at the High School track for the Relay for Life. When we arrived we saw that for the second year in a row our team had gone Gold (raised over $10,000). It was fantastic to see the sign. Our team is wonderful and we enjoyed being a part of it. The morning also started off with a Zumba class… for Allison. Allison hits Zumba about 3-4 times a week and her hard work is really showing. She was one of the only people who did the whole class and that lasted a long time.

I took Eva around the track and bought a bunch of raffle tickets. My plan of attack for raffles is buy tickets at the end, that way my tickets are close to the top. It worked because I won a prize, I won a scrapbooking package and it was packed tot he hilt with some great equipment. Back in 2005 or 2006 (I think we waited a few months to do this) Allison and I made a great scrapbook from our honeymoon in Aruba. We’ve been saving things to do a Disney Scrapbook with all of our trips to Disney with Eva and before Eva. I hope we can get it up to date (that means started) before we go on our trip in September.

At the Relay I took a bunch more photos and they are all up on my Picasa account. You can see them here 2010 North Attleboro Relay for Life Photos. One of my favorite parts of the Relay is always the Mad Scientist. Each year the show gets better and better and it always ends with the big band of Mentos and Diet Coke.

In the afternoon I took Eva all around the to a couple of Walmarts so I could pick up some more razors for the ShaveNewWorld.com site that I’ve been working on. I picked up two real high end ones and can’t wait to try them out. She was real good on our trips and talked to everyone.

Tonight Allison had the girls over for a Mary Kay party and I went downtown to the Speed of Thought Playhouse to see a Standup night. My friend Ryan Hanley opened and then Scott Higgins and then Cal Verduchi was the headliner. Ryan did a decent job, he’s fantastic at improv and his standup was good I videoed the session with my phone using Qik. Scott Higgins was a total riot and Cal was okay. The crowd liked him and I like much of it but I thought Scott was more to my liking. I do enjoy getting to hang out down at the Speed of Thought Playhouse, many really nice people there.

    1. Duong,
Why thank you for that backwards compliment. I hadn’t realized that I’d become fatter, thanks for pointing that out, made my day.
