Sorry I missed last week folks. I miss the summer. This hydrangea bush always turns such great colors as it blooms. The flower is at our house on the Cape and each summer I notice the beautiful colors as it turns. The flower here is in pre-bloom. I did get one comment stating that the flower did not look like a hydrangea because of the pre-bloom look. It is in fact a hydrangea.

I kicked off three contests yesterday morning at 8:00am. You may enter from December 1st to December 15th. Then from December 16th to December 30th voting will take place to determine the winners of each contest. Here are the links for each contest.

Speaking of Contests. My blog was nominated to be in the 3rd International Blog Cup Voting takes place from December 1 – 7. My friend Mark from The Green Fingered Photographer nominated me for this contest. If you wouldn’t mind, could you please pop over there for the next 7 days and give me a vote. thanks.

  1. Very interesting flower. This must be a different plant than hydrangea, or else I haven’t seen the flower in this stage. We don’t grow them here–soil to alkaline–but I always love seeing them. Happy GTS,

  2. Aiyana,
That is actually a hydrangea. It is a very early bloom. Sometimes when it just starts it looks like this then the petals are a nice blue or purple.
