Here Comes the Smolder

Photo-A-Day #2183

This is one of my Transformers, Smolder. Whenever I shoot a Transformer I want to make sure that I focus as much on the face or a single spot as possible. I want really tight depth of field so that the background is completely blurred out.

The title today is also a line from the movie Tangled (Four-Disc Combo: Blu-ray 3D/Blu-ray/DVD/Digital Copy). We received the movie today in the mail. I ordered it from the Disney Movie Club. We’re giving Eva the movie for Easter. It didn’t stop me from taking the digital copy and adding it to our iTunes account so that we can watch it on the iPad or iPod Touch when Easter Rolls around.

Today I also discovered the Amazon Cloud Drive. This is a way for you to upload a ton of files. there is also the Amazon Cloud Player. So if you upload your music you can listen to it on your computer and also on an android device. I downloaded the Amazon MP3 Uploader and it immediately started uploading a ton of music. There was also a deal where if you bought one MP3 album you get a 20GB Amazon Cloud Drive (You get 5GB free). I bought Mitch Hedberg’s Strategic Grill Locations. One of my favorite albums of his. Man, that guy was funny.

The upload of everything wasn’t completely smooth though. I haven’t been able to upload everything because occasionally some files give the uploader trouble and I’m back to square one. That is tough when you’re uploading 16GB of files. But for the most part it runs pretty well. I haven’t tried Photos, Documents or Videos yet. Soon.

  1. Great shot, I like macro photo’s of toys and such, I don’t have a macro lens for my camera but hoping to get one to do tight close ups. Tangled was a great movie, my kids loved it.

    1. Justin,

Throughout the past month I’ve highlighted ways to get macro shots with cheap money. If you already have a DSLR you an get close up filters for 12 bucks or extension tubes for 8 bucks. And you can get a macro magnetic lens for your cell phone for 20 bucks or so. Macro is real affordable.

Tangled was Eva’s first movie in the Theater. I loved the movie.
