Itching for the Open Road

Photo-A-Day #2728

This morning after dropping Eva at school I picked up my Dad to bring him to get his motorcycle. I took this photo of his helmet on the trunk of my car with a line of motorcycles in the background. I couldn’t see the photo in the bright light of day but when I got home I saw it and then brought it into Instagram and pumped up the contrast and then pulled it into Over to add the words. Every time I go to a motorcycle shop I start to miss my motorcycle. I really miss it around this time of year because it was my favorite time to ride. I love the Fall and I loved riding around North Attleboro, Wrentham and Plainville by the farms and the Diamond Hill Reservoir.

Later in the afternoon Dad came over to help me out. He helped me install the wall plate for the Flatscreen onto the wall in the basement. He drilled into the brick wall to put in some bolt anchors and bolts. We put up the wall plate and I thought that I had bought the exact same mount that I had for the first flatscreen TV. Apparently I bought a slightly different version. So the new wallmmount went into the basement and we removed the brackets from the old TV to put onto the new TV. Then we put the old Flat Screen on the basement wall and the new TV on the living room wall.

Of course the “Old TV” is only 2 months older than the “new TV” thanks to me winner the Dada Rocks Father’s day LG giveaway.

So now my basement office has a great new monitor.

My workout/office

I had been using our old desktop computer on the TrekDesk but that computer ended up not being able to be connected to the TV. But it does connect to the laptop. The laptop even has an HDMI connection so that’s even better. I can use the laptop as a second screen but the TV as the primary monitor and if I bump the zoom on web browser I won’t have to do any squinting while typing. Very excited about having this done. The next step is cleaning up the wall and repainting it, repainting the floor and more things to get that space looking the best that it can.

  1. Love your new basement office, are you going to paint the walls or just clean them? Guess the deision will be made after you’ve cleaned them eh!
