Lilies of the Yard

Photo-A-Day #1909

I don’t know what I should be writing about tonight. I took this photo of the pretty flowers and that is pretty much what I am thinking, I like the pretty flower.

However, my way of writing is straight out of my head and onto the page, so to speak. I just got finished with a great talk with Daniel M. Clark from Geek Dads Weekly. I was unable to do the show at our regular time today so Daniel split the show in two, he recorded a half hour with Joe Magennis earlier in the day and then tonight we recorded nearly an hour plus. I told all about the awesomeness that was Evo Conference as well as what I did with the MacBook that I won at Evo. Daniel is also looking to buy an iPad at some point. We talked about what I’d like to do with mine.

One we finished up the regular show we ended up talking about comics for a long time too. We were talking about the revamp of Wonder Woman with issue 600. Jim Lee did the design and J. Michael Straczynski is the new writer. I like both of those guys and I wonder if that will do something to help the sales of the comic book. Our talk about comic books made me remember that I bought comics last week and didn’t read them at all yet. Can’t believe I didn’t read any of them.

So getting back to my whole stream of consciousness thing. That is how I write. I don’t edit, I don’t revise I just sit and I write. Sometimes it is good sometimes it sucks and sometimes I run and ramble over and over with no point. I hope that I don’t end up doing that too often.

Today I announced that Allison and I were getting iPads because I was able to return the MacBook for credit. I also mentioned that we got some iFrogz cases for the iPads. I started following iFrogz (@ifrogz) today on Twitter and we had a good conversation about the iPad cases. I found out that the cases that we bought will actually attach to the iPad and fit into the other cases that we liked. We got some hard cases that go around the back of the iPad and want to also get some Neoprene cases to keep the iPads scratch free as well. I’d order those too but they don’t have the colors I want in stock. I’ll have to tweet them on that.

During the day today my co-workers put on this all day learning session. It was really good (and I hate meetings). While I did listen I also did start putting together my to do list for my blogs and other projects. Pages after pages of crazy stuff that I’ve got to get on. Reviews, new projects and follow ups with the great people from Evo. Look for more cool stuff and a contest coming, a couple actually.
