Yesterday I received a package from UPS. That package contained a new little piece of tech. I decided to purchase the Flip Mino HD. This little video camera is so sweet. I got it because I had a little “stimulus package” money of my own and decided to use it to help the economy. Also I wanted something simple to use, to upload quick videos of Eva so her grandparents could see her doing fun things like Reading with Allison.
That was the 1st video I took with the flip. I’m looking forward to taking many more.
I also got to pick two “free” accessories when I bought the Flip. I got a grey neoprene case. I find it hard to remove the Flip from the case. It is a little too snug, plus if you use the wrist strap, and I’m going to use that, it doesn’t fit too well.
The other item is the Action mount. I am going to use that to strap the Flip to my bike. I haven’t read very good things about it and find that the gorillapod works much better to keep items stationary. I use the gorillapod to attach my waterproof video camera to the kayak, I’m going to test the Flip Action Mount and the gorillapod to see which works better to keep a camera stationary.

I bought a Flip Ultra Series a few weeks ago, and I love it. I have the original XShot, and the light weight of this camera is better for than, than is my other video camera. I’ve been having fun playing with this thing.

I’m sure that you can get your hands on a Flip HD. They seem to be everywhere.
Is this product made in the USA? I believe the stimulation effect of a purchase it far greater if you buy products made here (which is hard). The economic conditions are currently global so this will help some. Thanks for stepping up and buying one for the team

I bought the product from amazon.com, an American based company. I also bought it through a friend’s affiliate program, She’s an American too, So even though this product may not be made in the USA. I’m trying to find that out, the company is based in San Fran and supplies all the disposable/reusable camcorders at CVS. Anyway My money spent did benefit, in part people in America. I hope that puts your mind at ease.
you suck. haha jk i just say that cos i’m jealous. i totally want one of those, but we have no extra cash 🙁 i totally loved the video and eva copying the sounds n words. very cute! 🙂

Thanks for the compliments on the video. There are a few limitations to the Flip but overall it is decent. I look forward to using it on trips and having less equipment to take with us.
So THAT’s how you connect that dang wrist strap… 😛
I received my Flip MinoHD today, and I ^^^love^^^ it. Great video quality for such a compact size. It was the one I wanted at first, but I accidentally bought the Flip Ultra instead. I’ll give the Ultra to a family member for Christmas–she was quite impressed with it when she used it for a recent birthday party.
