Mobilize WordPress

Photo-A-Day #2174

Tonight was WordPress Providence and I spoke during the event. I got up and talked about the Plug In WPtouch. I’ve written about this many times in the past and recommend it as part of my Personal Branding Bootcamp. Today I actually went and bought the WPtouch Pro premium plugin. This does a ton of great things beyond what the free version does. For one thing it has support for the iPad. Using this plug in I was able to turn my blog here into an app. It was so easy.

Here is my presentation with some info on WPtouch and WPtouch Pro.

Before I gave my presentation I was talking to a guy about creating a mobile app using Red Foundry. I haven’t checked that you yet but hope to do so soon.

the night was a a good one. My presentation was a bit rudimentary for the audience. Many of the people who come are developers and they write their own code so seeing me talk about a plug in many people wanted additional functionality and I got the impression that they’d do their own thing. Luckily we had Jake there and he talked about how to “roll your own” code.
