Napkin Rose in the Dark

Photo-A-Day #2137

About a month ago Allison, Eva and I went to breakfast at SweetWorks and then we went over to JD’s to catch up with my father. There a man gave Eva this rose made from a napkin. We’ve had it ever since. I took it and shot this in a darkened room with a flash. I had the camera on the Flower setting when I shot this too.

I’ve been working on a client’s website this past week and I’ve learned so much about DNS entries and e-mail setups too. I moved the site from one hosting service to another and changed over the e-mail to use GMail as the email engine. When I set this up I learned that now GMail for business operates more like the regular GMail and that is a bit of a problem.

Here’s the issue. I have set up a GMail based email system for BenSpark.com and I used to be able to sign into my personal GMail account and also to the business account at the same time. There was a separate login page for both of those accounts but now they have the same login and you cannot be on both accounts at the same time. Luckily I don’t have much call to be logged into both accounts at the same time because I have everything forwarded to one account. Setting up an account on GMail for a business, a personal one, is free and very easy to do. I’m getting pretty good at it too.

I finally got to see the premiere episode of Transformers Prime this afternoon. I’m a fan the show and really liked the episode, for the most part. Here are a few observations. The writers have stated that when a character dies they stay dead. So, in the 5 part miniseries there was a character, Cliffjumper, he was a red muscle car. He was also voiced by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. That was some very cool voicework. I am hoping that one of my other favorite voice guys, Jess Harnell, will voice a character in the series. Okay, back to the issue of dead characters,. Cliffjumper was killed in the miniseries and he’s dead. However, Megatron was supposedly killed in the miniseries. Obviously Megatron is not going to die and even though in this premiere episode of the series StarScream finds him and removes the thing that was keeping him alive (dark energon) which looks like it killed him. But of course, he’s in life support and won’t die. In the very same episode though a new character was introduced. His name was SkyQuake. In the course of the episode he was not only introduced by he died. I’m not enjoying just meeting a character to have them die in the course of an episode. Also as my friend Brendan pointed out, Having Agent Fowler flying a jet in a shirt and tie was lame. I know that these are computer generated characters and have to be rendered but render the guy a flight suit or something.
