Nokia Productions Winner

This morning I checked my e-mail and was thrilled, surprised and elated to see that I had a message from WOM World / Nokia. When I went to LA a couple of weeks ago I made a short little video about famous movie death scenes. Well, my video was selected as one of the winners. This means that I am going back to LA for the movie premiere and then to an Avril Lavigne concert. It is another whirlwind trip where I leave the morning of the premiere, stay overnight and come home. Here is the video that I think made me the winner.

I’m not sure if my video made it into the NokiaProductions movie but I’ll find out when I go back to LA to see the movie.

  1. Thanks Elizabeth,
You sound even more excited than I am. I wonder what I will wear for the premiere. I shop maybe once every 3 years. Seriously I’m not big on the shopping. I picked up 2 shirts and a pair of shorts for izeafest and they were all target clearance. My MIL got me a great pair of Hilfiger shorts. That is my only name brand clothing. Looks like I better start toning up if I’ll be hobnobbing with celebs. LOL.

  2. Congrats!!!

And welcome back to LA, Get ready to walk the carpet and pose for Us, the media guys, I very often cover movie premieres, so If I get to cover the one you are going, I’ll make sure to say ‘Hi’!

    Best!

  3. Am I supposed to know which movie that scene was from? All I see is some woman shooting some guy with a toy gun. I guess it is cool bit what am I missing I don’t recognize the scene. Most movies I have seen have actual action in them this is just a bunch of pictures set to music. It does tell a story and it is kind of cool but which story. I am so confused.

  4. Hi JC,
Thanks. Look for me if I end up there. I doubt I will but stranger things have happened, like this whole set of events.

  5. Nick,
Thanks, I assume that you will be there hanging out with the winners, right? Since I’ll be seeing you again I’ll have to hold on to one of my XShots to give you.

  6. Stephen,
You are one of my closest friends and at the same time one of my biggest critics. Good thing for being one of the closest friends. The scene was supposed to be from the Quick and the Dead. Yes we are using Ray guns. It isn’t much other than a bunch of stills. That I acknowledge. Were we given much direction, no. Were we given props, no. The props were supplied by the woman in the images. She brought all her own stuff and we made do with what we had. The overall premise of the movie is the theme of humanity. Birth, Life and Death, everything was to be shot on cell phones. Was the scene 100% accurate, no lets say it was more, inspired by the events of the movie The Quick and the Dead. Thanks for keeping me from getting a swelled head.

  7. Nick,
Sounds great, I’m really looking forward to it. Do you know which of my movies made it in or if either of them made it in at all.

  8. Thanks Pete,
I really wished things would have worked out so you could have gone out to LA too. You would have enjoyed the photowalk on day 2.

  9. Congrats, Ben. I twittered you also. I was in on that WOM and won a sweeps, the Nokia 5310 with all the works. That was a pretty cool experience, wasn’t it? I didn’t do a video but did submit a photo I took down south… Are you a Bzz agent?

  10. Ethel,

Congrats to you. I liked that phone. The whole experience was a fun one. I’m not a Bzz agent but I was part of Nokia Chronicles and from time to time I get phones to review. I have a 6650 right now.
