Fancy Feet… PAD #1088

Fancy Feet... PAD #1088

Eva has the cutest socks ever. I am tempted to find her some other ones that look like other footwear. I hear that there are even some cowboy boot versions around.

Worked from home today, Allison was very sick. She is doing a bit better but day was spent at home. And it rained which didn’t help matters much at all. Hopefully it will get nicer this week so I can take Eva for another walk soon. Today she spent time in the jumparoo and I took her to the supermarket on my lunch hour.

Thank you Jumparoo

I did try and figure out how I am going to import the posts from BenSpark 2: Electric Boogaloo into this blog. AS you know I have decided to close the doors on BS2:EB. It proved too much to handle and still give quality content. So I set about getting the posts from that blog ready to be transplanted here. I’m not doing it all by hand as I did before. I’m working on a better way of importing. However I can’t simply import from Blogger, it is just not working with this blog. So I made a wordpress.com blog and imported there. Then I had to get rid of the posts that have already migrated here.

And now on to the Entrecard issue. There are some folks on Entrecard that are saying that the Social Spark Widget is making it impossible for them to Drop their Entrecard on this blog. Over 70 people had no problem dropping their cards today. I think one of the issues was with something in my sidebar, not the Social Spark code. I made a change to that.

If you are having trouble dropping your card here, please let me know. I am testing out Social Spark in their private Alpha and would be happy to hear a few things. But please tell me, What browser are you using, are you on dial up or high speed, how much RAM is in your computer and how fast is the CPU. Also what operating system are you using. Vague and unhelpful statements aren’t going to be of any use to anyone.

  1. Thanks for letting me know Lisa. Had you had trouble before? I think I made a weird mistake in the right sidebar that messed up entrecard.

  2. I try to drop my card here every day, and have NEVER had a problem. I use Verizon DSL and XP Home Edition. And Firefox.

I hope Allison feels better soon. I hope she doesn’t have that nasty stomach bug that’s been going around. I had it a few weeks ago and it Was Not Fun. Good that you can work from home and take care of Eva so that she can rest.

Christine’s last blog post..I don’t know how they can do it?

  3. My Photo-Projectz site got hacked today, it’s completely gone, but I’ve re-built, so I just wanted to drop my link and let you know where it’s at. You’ll have to re-subscribe unfortunately. http://photo-journeyz.blogspot.com/

My Specs are: Firefox, Vista, DSL, I’ve got tons of RAM, and not sure about my CPU. My computer is a fully decked out gaming computer (4 hubby) so I ahve no problem with anything. I was wondering about your social spark thing that was down on the bottom of your site, but I’m not seeing that anymore, I assume you’ve removed it. Hopefully you can get whatever it is resolved. I’ve never had trouble dropping my card. Only trouble I’ve had with your site, is not being able to comment that one day, that’s about it.

  4. I don’t figure that many people have had problems. But there seems to be some sort of forum brohaha at Entrecard going on. I always love it when I get bashed in a forum behind my back and instead of someone saying something flat out to me I have to find it in a forum. Oh well, such is life.

I’m pretty glad my job is as flexible as it it.

  5. I am so sorry about your blog. I am glad that you got the new one back up and running so quickly. Could the folks at blogger help you in any way?

The social spark thing was a banner for blog sponsorship. It just happened to be up today. It was automatically removed because the sponsorship time was up. I thought it was pretty cool. I’ve never had a card drop problem myself.

  6. I dropped on your widget and others with the sponsorship with no problem. I saw one person say that they didn’t even get the “drop” to show up on your widget, but that usually just means that they’re not logged in.

  7. Thanks Jennifer,

I saw the missing drop once and I was signed in, usually if you are not signed in you get the get one message. However it matters little as the majority of people have had no problem dropping their cards. So I can’t quite understand what is happening with everyone else. Thanks for letting me know about your experience.

  8. I haven’t had any problems dropping on you…

Oh, and my son has those socks, also in dark blue and red, too cute.

  9. I think these drop problems have been isolated incidents from people disgruntled with IZEA.

Eva also has those other colors as well. We love those socks.
