Parenting Hooky

Photo-A-Day #1915

Eva is away for a couple of days with Memere and Grandfather. Momma and Dada went for dinner and a movie tonight. We haven’t done that in a long time. We did see Eclipse, which was okay. It wasn’t a terrible movie but I did find quite a few spots to laugh at and roll my eyes. The movie was packed with pre-teen and teen girls who were swooning over Jacob and Edward. I think that every time we’ve been able to go for a dinner and a movie we’ve seen a movie from the Twilight Series. There was however a decent trailer for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows parts I and II.

I’ve been trying to catch on up with everything I’ve got to get done since EVO ’10. The holiday put me behind as well. I’ll be getting back on track soon. Got me a list, a mile long but got me a list. I started with some of the photos from the weekend including some from my niece’s first birthday. They went up for the family, not for public consumption per wishes of the family. I can respect that. I did put up my photos from the 45th Annual Dartmouth Street 4th of July Parade. I’ve got more photos that need to go up tomorrow. Those are the ones of the fireworks.

I wrote my latest post for Blogging Tips.com and I guess it came off a little angry. I didn’t mean it to be an angry one. I just wanted it to be more of an instructional thing. I titled it No, You Cannot Guest Post On My Blog. I wasn’t meaning it to come off angry, maybe was the title or the content. I hope that people get what I was trying to get across.

    1. Deborah,

It was nice to have that time together even though we were pretty zonked from the weekend.

  1. My kids are headed to their grandparents’ house next week and I am already scoping out movies to see with my husband. Luckily for him, I go see all of the Twilight movies with one of my girlfriends. I know a lot of people say that going to the movies isn’t a good “date night” activity because you don’t really interact much, but we head to the movies just about every time our kids are gone because we love going to the movies!!

    1. Tricia,
We love the movies too and often our night’s out are spent going to them together. Now I’ve seen the three Twilight movies and haven’t read the books so I’m probably going to see the last two (2 part book 4) just to find out what happened. But I will always be Team Buffy or Team Anita Blake.
