Photo-A-Day #759 05/07/07

Today I flew to Kansas City Missouri. I had a layover in Washington Regan. What the heck is up with having to go through security to get to each concourse. What a terrible layout for an airport. It wasn’t until I got through the security that I saw there was a speedy line for gold status people. Argh. I missed that. I also missed a bus that shuttles people between concourses so you DON’T have to go through security again. I was way to slow today. It was an early morning and I was a bit tired.

I ended up sleeping through most of my flights but still managed to watch many podcasts like Scoble Show, Geek Brief.tv and Adobe PhotoShop Elements Killer Tips. I also read more of my latest Laurell K. Hamilton novel.

When I got to the hotel I did a bit o blogging and then headed out for some lunch, I ended up going to see the movie Hot Fuzz at the local AMC. It liked it very much and posted a review on BenSpark 2: Electric Boogaloo. I then went over to the Genghis Khan for some tasty Mongolian grill. It was delicious.

Today’s photo is for Macro Mondays on Flickr. The assignment this week was “7”. I looked around all day for some groups of 7 to shoot for the challenge. I found this at a Cracker Barrel across from the hotel.

Today one of my photos was featured in the Wallhogs blog. Scott from Wallhogs has made me BIG. That is the tag line of the Wallhogs blog. And Scott just e-mailled me again with a brand new post about how my Photo-A-Day project inspired him to start a BIG Wallhogs community of photographers. Here is the post : Wallhogs BIG art Daily: Inspired By The BenSpark Photo-A-Day Pretty sweet.

  1. Great pics and posts. I was wondering (and maybe you’ve already done this) could you post about how you got your start in photography? My wife is very interested in doing it and I’d love to share your thoughts with her. Thanks!

  2. That is a great idea Mark. I will have to do something about that. I have some of my older black and whites to scan into the computer to go along with a post like that. For now you can check out my bio page for some info. Look for something more in the next couple of days.

  3. Very cool looking image, Drew. And, thanks for your mention of Wallhogs. This is truly the stuff that drives us all at Wallhogs. We all really appreciate it very much, Drew, take care and have a wonderful day.
