Photo-A-Day #862 08/18/07

Train Bridge Tower

Today Allison and I had a great breakfast at Cracker Barrel and then headed down the Cape. We stopped in Buzzard’s Bay to walk along the canal and take some photos and I wanted to play with my GiSTEQ PhotoTrackr. I took today’s photo-a-day there. The canal is a great spot to take photos, there are tons of things happening, from people walking, biking and roller blading to people fishing from the rocks and right in the water. Then you have the birds and the boats going by, it is a really nice place to go to take photos. So I did a mini photowalk with my PhotoTrackr. You can take a look at the map of my mini photowalk.

Then we headed to the house to go to Allison’s Baby Shower. We had many people at the house from the Cape area as well as from home. We received some very nice gifts and had a good time. I was there to take some photos. So there are plenty of photos so Marcia can see when she visits us next week. Here are some photos.

My cousin Lindsay made a Diaper Cake for Allison with 126 diapers as well as many little things for the baby including a bib that says, “Don’t bother me I’m Downloading Here”. Apparently I spend too much time on the computer. You Think?

I also took quite a few photos around the house as I photographed everyone who came to visit. Here are two of the photos I liked and also the photo of the Sunflower from the House that I’ve been taking regular photos of each day.

  1. Yanno, in all of the years I’ve lived in Massachusetts, I’ve NEVER been to the Cape. We’re always going up to Maine instead. I’ll have to remedy that someday…

    Great pics, as always!

  2. Thank you Christine, The fall is a nice time on the Cape, still not too cold and less tourists. The summer is fun as well with the beaches and everything else.

  3. Always wanted to go to that canal but never have.
That was nice that men go to showers now. Makes it much more interesting and real.

I HATE this spam thing! It always tells me i did the wrong word!!

  4. The canal is nice and has 14 miles of walking trails on either side. It is a great place to walk, bike or rollerblade. Sorry about the spam filter, I’m getting many random spam messages lately. I think it is from that paid commenting service or something. I don’t mind being at the showers, I wasn’t invited but there really wasn’t much else for em to do. Plus I spent time with my cousins’ son. Oh and I took tons of photos.

  5. Yeah the diaper cake was new to me, I have a couple of quilts from my sister so I knew that would be awesome. The diaper cake was a pleasant surprise though.

  6. I like your picture of the Tower. Did you have to lie on your back to take it? From that angle, it’s hard to tell how tall the tower is so it’s a great way to accentuate its size.
