Welcome to the World, Eva Grace Bennett

Welcome to the World

Photo-A-Day #915

Today I fell in love with a wonderful girl. And today was the most perfect day of my life. Allison gave birth to a 8.5lb 8oz 20 1/2in beautiful baby girl named Eva Grace. Eva Grace came rocketing into the world at lightening speed. At 9:30am Allison’s water broke. We were in the car by 9:35am and at the hospital by 9:50am. After about 1 hour and 40 minutes of prep and 20 minutes of pushing Eva Grace came into the world at 12:04pm. Eva Grace is a beautiful girl, so, so beautiful and with a gorgeous full head of hair.

Mother and baby are doing fantastic. And Daddy is hanging in. I took a bunch of photos and we had many visitors. I will upload them tomorrow as I am on dial up and have no way to upload them directly. It has taken me about an hour just to get the one photo up. More tomorrow though. She is beautiful.

I had great role models andif I am even 1/2 the Dad you were this kid is going to be very lucky. I am so happy to have had you and Mom to guide me through the years.

  4. Oh, the wonder! Congratulations to Mom and Dad – and to beautiful baby Eva Grace for finding such a fine family to plop into the middle of. Oh, how I envy you all the journey ahead! How long will she sit still for a photo a day, Drew? At least until her teens, surely! I’m looking forward to watching her as she discovers the world around her.

  5. She’s awesome, and truly blessed to have you both as parents! I’m so excited for you all…I can’t wait to meet her! Be well!

  6. Wow! Congratulations! She sounds like a healthy little girl and she’s just beautiful. I’m glad to hear that both mom and dad are doing well too. 😉

  7. Eva is going to be a Red Sox fan. Seriously. I know she wasn’t supposed to arrive until the 20th, but then she heard that the ALCS starts on Friday. So, she said, “I WANNA COME OUT…NOW!”

No doubt she’ll get much coaching from “Auntie Mo” in the Red Sox fan department…LOL!

She is beautiful, and so is the name you chose for her. Congratulations, and glad to hear that everyone is doing well.

  11. Beautiful! My brother just had their third, which makes me an uncle again. I think there will be less pictures for him though, ha.

  12. Thanks very much Becky, more photos will be coming each day. There is an Eva Grace gallery on Flickr. I’m recording it all.

  13. Thanks Andree,

It is funny, when she is with me she looks more like me, when she is with Allison she looks more like her. She is a love all right.

  14. Hi skeet, I think that the next week or so is going to be all about EVA on Photo-a-Day and then I’ll have to go to some other willing subject, But Eva is going to know the camera, learn about the camera and love the camera.

I appreciate the nice sentiments, Eva is doing wonderful and we are very excited that she is her with us and decided to plop down in our family.

  15. Hey Mo,

We are looking forward to you coming to visit and to meet our sweet girl. I’m going through all my e-mails and comments and responding to them all. So soon I will get to the one about you coming to MA in Nov. Thanks Mo.

  17. Thanks Chrsitine, between Auntie Mo and Uncle Nate Eva will be Red Sox through and through. She already has some cute Red Sox gear that we will dress her in for the World Series games.

Yeah because I was holding one of Allison’s legs it was a bit tough to type but I still managed to blog post minutes after the birth through Radar.Net. Now, if I only had a better camera phone.

  19. Thank you Sara, Eva is one of the most beautiful names in our minds. And Eva Grace is even more so. Thanks for the wonderful well wishes.
