Princess Peonies & Pizza

Photo-A-Day #2250

These are probably just garden variety peonies but them being pink I figured that they could be called “Princess”. Our neighbors have a whole slew of great peonies planted along their brick wall. They look so beautiful for a few days then they wilt or get too many ants on them. Ants seem to love peonies. So, tonight when I got home I walked over and took a few shots of them.

Tonight we went over to Papa Ginos for dinner. Our Relay for Life team was doing a fundraiser so we went to support the team. It has been a while since we’ve had Papa Ginos. I think it was when Dan and Marcia still lived in NH. I told Allison that Papa Ginos always reminds me of dinners at their place.

After getting home I took a quick few hours of sleep and when I woke up Allison was at work and Eva was at her cousin’s. I decided to go and catch a movie. I really wanted to see X-Men First Class and it did not disappoint. This was what an X-Men movie should be like. It had the same amazing feel of the first movie, I think the story to this was better, the first X-Men movie had the better look and feel, the flash, it was great. There was a cameo in this movie that was perfectly timed and fit so well in the movie. It is a great cameo for the fans of the series, too. I’d certainly see it again. Kevin Bacon was a phenomenal bad guy. He was so cool and creepy at the same time.

This is my own personal DSLR camera that I bought half of. My mother-In-Law bought the other half as an investment of great photos of her grandchildren. With over 26,000 photos of Eva and counting, I’d say she got great ROI on the investment. The opinions about them are 100% mine.

  1. Papa Ginos pizza is awesome. However the service is terrible at least at the one near me. So bad in fact that I have given up. Really how hard is to to get a cheese pizza ready as a take out order. It should take me 5 mins when I show up to pay and get out of there. However the pizza is never read even though I give them 10 more min than I ask for. Inevitable I have to wait until 7 people in front of me order something. If I wanted it to take an hour to get a pizza I would make my own. Sad ever sadder is they will not respond to a letter about their poor service or make any changes. I do miss their pizza but I don’t miss tha aggrivation. Sorry by at least my Papa Gino’s sucks!!!

    1. Andy,

Yes, I can sympathize with the service at Papa Ginos. We only went because of the fundraiser and so that we could go to BJs right afterwards. It is all about making multiple trips happen to save time and gas. Although spending $40 on two specialty pizzas and four drinks is crazy. At least we did some donating in the fundraiser. Sure we could have just given the $40 to the fundraiser instead. Oh well, we get two dinners out of it.
