Popchips Think Popped, Never Fried, Never Baked

Review and Giveaway: Popchips

Popchips Think Popped, Never Fried, Never Baked

Popping into some Popchips!

Allison, Eva and I have been feasting on popchips for the past few days. We received three cases to taste test and we’ve certainly been doing that. We received a case of Original Potato, Sour Cream and Onion Potato and Barbeque Potato. While each of them are delicious I have to say that I am going to go with Original Potato as my favorite popchip. Eva likes the Barbeque ones because they taste orange. Not the actual flavor of orange but they taste the color orange. She’s a funny duck. Allison likes the Sour Cream and Onion ones.

We’ve shared these with our friends and each person who has tried them has come away with a smiling face. We took them with us when we went to a BYOF Folk concert (Bring Your Own Food) and shared them. My friend Kelly pointed out to me that the bags were only 100 calories. I was surprised at that because you get a decent serving of popchips and not a wimpy serving like other snacks. I guess I shouldn’t have been surprised because popchips makes their chips by Popping them. What is popping? I do not know but here is what popchips says about popping.

the magic of popping
Popping is a way of making our all-natural chips. We start with wholesome potatoes, add a little heat and pressure, along with a little snack magic. And pop! It’s a chip.

Well, despite not knowing the actual way that the chips are made I am excited by the results. Half the fat of fried chips and all of the flavor. Here is the more detailed popchips single serve nutrition facts. Speaking of flavors, we only touched the tip of the iceberg with our chip-ment. Popchips makes seven different flavors including Original, Sour Cream and Onion, Barbeque (the ones we tried) plus Cheddar, Sea Salt and Vinegar, Salt and Pepper and Paremesaen Garlic. I figure that they are all pretty delicious too. Don’t take our word for it, you can try a case of Popchips yourself. Just enter my Popchips giveaway.

” BenSpark.com sent me here! Although I’ve been eating Popchips for a long time. πŸ™‚ ”

I have to say that I am really impressed that under the new Weight Watchers points scale, these are only 3 points. Almost every snack I like with any carbs in it went up to 4 or 5. I like the BBQ the best, my kids like the original, and my husband loves the Sea Salt & Vinegar!

  2. #7 – you’re allowed to eat the whole bag.

I left a comment on facebook that you sent me there! Thank you for this AWESOME oppotunity! My favorite flavor (the only flavor I have tasted) is the Sour Cream & Onion Potato.

    Thank you BenSpark.com!!

  5. Now I have a reason to try these – I keep passing them and thinking about trying them.

Favorite credo was #3 – Good eating should occasionally be no more difficult than opening a bag.

While I’m happy to buy some, it’s more fun to win, right? So here’s my entry πŸ™‚

    Snacker’s Credo #6- If it doesn’t taste good, it isn’t a snack. (I agree!)
