My New Just Eyewear glasses

Review: Just Eyewear – I Got Me a New Pair of Glasses.

My New Just Eyewear glasses

I’m no stranger to buying eyelasses over the Internet. I’m pretty sure that I’ve relayed the story of buying $200 glasses at a brick and mortar store with scratch protection. The thing is, if the glasses get scratched a second time you are SOL. It was then that I turned to the Internet to get a new pair of glasses. In the time since, I’ve gotten two more pairs and this pair from Just Eyewear makes number three. So I’ve had a chance to try many different ordering interfaces in the past couple of years. By far Just Eyewear’s interface for ordering is the best. It was so simple and clean. It was easy to place my order and the complicated parts of ordering eyewear online were spelled out in simple direct terms.

The tools that Just Eyewear has to make your eyeglass buying experience much better are the How to Buy Glasses Online Tutorial and the Frame Fitter. These two tools can help you pick out a new pair of inexpensive, good quality prescription eyeglasses quickly and easily.

Just Eyewear - Prescription Eyeglasses

Because I have many pairs of prescription glasses that are all pretty much the same I decided to make a big break from my norm and get an entirely new look. The glasses that I had been wearing were rimless on the bottom and had very thin temples and were basically the smallest thing I could find for my Gigunta (It’s a word ask my MIL) head. So I have a big head and I try and wear small glasses. But this time from Just EyeWear I went for a thicker chunkier looking pair of glasses. They are black and more contemporary than the glasses I had been wearing. They sort of scream hipster but that is fine, I doubt I’d be mistaken for a hipster.

Once ordered, Just Eyewear confirmed with me that I do in fact have two different prescriptions. One eye is far sighted and the other is near. I like that they double checked with me on that issue. Once that was done the glasses got to me quickly. I have been wearing them for the past week and I like them. It took some getting used to because the temples are way bigger than I was wearing. I noticed that in the car there was sort of a blind spot created from the temples of my new glasses. I’ll have to get used to that and compensate for the narrowed peripheral vision. The glasses are nice and they came to me in a hearty glasses case. I like that because I didn’t have to worry that my glasses wouldn’t fit in the case.

For my readers if you are interested in getting a pair of glasses from Just Eyewear I have a coupon code for 5% off your entire order. The coupon code is BENSPARK.

  1. I say, very stylish glasses there, being one of those people that wears glasses, I can quite honestly say it’s always important to look good and a good set of frames always helps, no one wants to look like a mad scientist at the end of the day 😉

    1. Karen,

For me the mad scientist part is more about the crazy hair than anything. 🙂 Glad you like them. Thank you.

  2. i love the frames…probably because they are similar to my 13 yo daughter’s (she got a mens pair & i got a ladies pair). those style of frames are stylish & very in right now. my 13 yo calls them her ‘smartacles’ cos they’re spectacles that make you like smarter :o)

  3. That’s a new look. I think the frame is kinda thick for your face in my humble opinion. Unless its the angle of the way your holding your head I need more photo’s. Your eyes look swollen did you just wake up? Unless it’s the slick back hair do your sporting today. Does the wifey like them?
    Love the sweater 😀

    (don’t kill me for honesty)

    1. Tricia,

I appreciate the honesty. I’m actually considering cutting my hair super short because as you can see I the hair int he front is making a hasty retreat to the back. I’m going to be bald someday and while I did many fun things with my hair as a kid I know it is going away. My eyes always look swollen because they are, I’m tired all the time. My wife does like the glasses. I like them enough but they will take some getting used to.

  4. my 13 yo and i have a round thicker face, too, and we have similar glasses…they look awesome on us & on you. i don’t think they’re too thick. it’s a nice departure from wire ones, too, don’t you think? i got tired of the wire ones.
