We received a free review copy of Race Across the USA from University Games. Opinions are our own.

I am so impressed with the knowledge that andy has stuffed in his little head and how he makes great connections while we were playing Rae Across the USA. In this game you have to collect 6 state cards as you travel from state to state answering multiple choice or True/False questions about places in the USA. I played several times with Andy and he won each one. He’s a whiz when it comes to retaining facts. There was one question about which state was known as The Garden state and he pulls New Jersey out of a song from the Percy Jackson The Lightning Thief Musical.

The game has two different levels of cards and questions. There are questions for 3rd and th graders and questions for 5th and 6th graders. Andy did the 3rd and 4th grade questions and I took the 5th and 6th grade ones. After mopping the floor with me three times he challenged his sister and they had fun together. We’ll have to play another time when the whole family can enjoy the game.

The game itself is very easy to play, very limited rules and easy set-up. Gameplay can last between 5 and 15 minutes depending upon how quickly questions are answered. You can get the full details on the game on the University Games website for Race Across the USA. The game comes in two versions, there is the board game and the game in a tin. You can pick up the game through our Amazon.com affiliate link if you are so inclined.
