Cinco De Mayo and Game of Thrones

Today was Cinco De Mayo and Allison made us tacos for dinner. The kids do love their tacos and have a lot of fun putting them together. Andrew even took a soft taco shell and put down some guac and then put a hard taco shell on top and then filled that and wrapped it with the soft taco shell. I blame Taco Bell for that one. He is a creative kid, though. So, he probably just thought that up himself. Good job on using the guac to seal the two together.

Tonight at work I hit up Moe’s for some chips and queso so that I could have them while I watched Game of Thrones. Only two episodes left now. We’re gearing up for a major showdown and this has been a season with some tremendous payoffs with the characters from the past seven seasons. It is also very tense because you never know who is going to perish from week to week. It could be anyone. The nice thing is that we are all watching it and so we can chat about it right afterward.

Game of Thrones came back today after almost 2 years between seasons 7 and 8. It has been a long wait to see the end of this great series. One of the big marketing things that they did was partner up with Oreo to make special Game of Thrones Oreo cookies that had house sigils on them and also the image of The Night King. I went and picked up a bunch of packs of these to have with each episode. We opened them tonight after dinner because the kids wanted to try them. Mind you, they no nothing about Game of Thrones other than that it is a show for mom and dad. They did have fun with the images and then asking us about each of the houses. Allison and I were like, House Stark is good. House Lannister has some good and bad. House Targeryon is good and The Night King is Bad. That’s as far as we went into it. No need to have them any more interested in a show that they aren’t going to be able to watch for many, many years.
