So, tonight was the Stan Bush concert at Hascon. It was part of a special VIP ticket that I couldn’t afford and so I wouldn’t have been able to go if I had been there, but I am still missing not being at the show today in the first place. So I wore this shirt today.

I really wish that I had taken the weekend off to really be able to do HASCON all three days. Being there on Day 1 and seeing everything was cool. Then I get home add see all that I missed and know that I have a pass that will let me go back but being unable to go because I have to sleep because of work is frustrating. I am seeing more reveals and more cool things. People got to meet celebrities and more. I didn’t take nearly enough photos. I took a lot of video, though. Here is my video that I left early to work on yesterday. Should’ve just stayed.

In the video below I show a bunch of the Transformers toys,
Marvel, Nerf and My Little Pony. I even got to meet and Interview John Warden the Design Manager for Transformers! He was very cool to talk with. I also ran into Amy Pontes of Lite Rock 105. We are old friends from years ago. So that was fun. IT is a long video but there are some cool things in it.

Below are some of the Transformers toys reveals that I saw live yesterday. These are all ones I would like to have in my collection, with the exception of Cloudburst. I was never into the Pretenders line. But the Optimus Prime is incredible and I really want a set of Dinobots that become a combiner. Check them out below. Day 1 of HASCON 2017

Unfortunately, I can only attend Day 1 of HASCON. This is the Hasbro Convention in Rhode Island. I was given a press/influencer pass for the weekend to attend and today was the only day I could do. But I made a pretty full day out of the hours I could be there.

I headed down to the convention around 8am. I got there very quickly, parked at the mall and walked over. I went to the main entrance of the Dunkin Donuts center and waited for the doors to open at 10am. Doors only opened at 10am for VIPs and Press. I was press but wasn’t given clear directions as to where to enter. I asked a very helpful person who told me where to go and I headed over to the correct entrance. While I was standing around waiting there were people who came out and did temp tattoos. I got an Autobot symbol on my left inner forearm and a Decepticon symbol on my right inner forearm.

I also met some guys from a New England Transformers toy collecting group. We chatted for a while and that made the waiting much better.

When I did get into the convention I went right to the Transformers corner. I was going to do an interview at 11:15 and so I wanted to stick close. I met a bunch of nice people int he Transformers booth. They were all employees of Hasbro and they were super nice. I talked to as many as I could and asked them all about working with the Transformers brand. My jealousy over such a dream job must have been bubbling over. The display was a good one. I liked what I saw. Continue reading Day 1 of HASCON 2017
