Discover Boating – Blasts from the Past

I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Discover Boating. I received collateral to facilitate my review and a promotional item as a thank you for participating.

My Grandparent's House in the 70's

When I was a kid my grandparents owned a home in Wareham, Ma. We’d go there each Summer to enjoy fishing, boating and swimming. I’d also play pool, collect toads, watch movies, eat junk food and stuff myself with my grandmother’s famous crepes. I really loved fishing on the boat, though. My grandfather, Rick, would teach me all sorts of things about fishing from a boat. We would sometimes anchor and cast but most often we would go trolling. Eva Bear on the Road Again

EvaBear on the Road Again
Photo-A-Day #1866

I’m on the road this week and as with any road trip these days I take Eva Bear with me. The nice thing about taking this with me on each trip is that I take photos of it in various places. I also get asked about Eva Bear by many people and I do end up scoring many of the “Oh how sweet” points with people when I tell them that I take photos of the bear for my daughter.

One of the things that I will talk about when I get selected to speak at the Modern Media Man Summit (if my session gets chosen) is how to stay connected with family when you travel. By taking these photos in various places Eva can see something of hers in many places. She knows Eva Bear and she likes watching the photos go up on Facebook and also on this blog. Eventually I can even take the photos and put them all together into a photo storybook for her. Other topics that I will speak on will be how to stay connected with family across the country, how to save and store precious family photos and movies, and also how to save the past and connect it to the present.
