Happy National Hot Dog Day 2017

Photo-A-Day #4481

Today was National Hot Dog Day. I always try and get some Pearl hot dogs to celebrate the day because Pearls are my favorite. I enjoy the 1/2lb ones the most but we weren’t near Snappy Dogs or Larry Joe’s New England Firepit today. So, we had to have the ones I picked up at Market Basket.

Speaking of picking up. I dropped off and picked up Eva from her baking camp at Johnson and Wales. She is loving this camp. Today was ice cream day and she and her friends made some vanilla with chocolate chip ice cream. They also made some strawberry caramel sauce as well as hot fudge. There was even cookie dough topping. She brought all that back home along with a quarter of the blackberry pie that she made yesterday. It was delicious.

Doctor Strange arrives in theaters today! I wrote a review of the movie from my trip out to California to be part of the #DoctorStrangeEvent. I enjoyed the movie very much. It was visually one of the more amazing ones I have seen. I cannot wait to see it again in IMAX. I have some clips below that you can watch to get your excitement up for the movie. You can also read my SPOILER FREE review of Doctor Strange and let me know what you think of it in the comments. Or you can tell me why you are excited to see it over at my Doctor Strange Marvel Collector Corps Box Giveaway.

Last night I went over to my friend Brian’s house to start work on a new project. It is a new YouTube Channel that we are creating called STEAMDads. You can see the premiere episode next Tuesday at 2:30pm EST. It is National STEM/STEAM Day and a perfect day to launch STEAMDads. Please go and subscribe so you don’t miss our first episode which is about Modarri Cars. We talk about Engineering, Art, and Mathematical Possibilities.

The kids saw that my Modarri cars were out so they played with them. Later on they showed me their artistic creations. Andrew worked int he medium of Toilet Paper Rolls and Eva worked in Duct Tape. She used the parts from the inside of my Netflix #StreamTeam Gift Box, the one that housed my iPad Pro and PhotoJojo Camera Lenses.

Allison and Eva had no school today so after we picked Andrew up from school we went to see the movie Trolls. Sadly the kids aren’t quite old enough for Doctor Strange. Trolls was really cute. There was a moment when I teared up, it was the music. The music is great and the movie made me laugh out loud a number of times.
