Celebrating Eva’s Birthday at King Richard’s Faire

We celebrated Eva’s birthday today at King Richard’s Faire. When I told her that we were offered tickets again this year, thank you for the free tickets King Richard’s Faire!, and I suggested her birthday would be the day we could go she was very excited. she began to work on a costume right then and there. she decided that she would be a pirate for the day.

The Kids with a Wizard

When we arrived there was a tall wizard in the entrance and I had the kids take a photo with him. We also took a photo for a guy dressed as a wizard for him.

The King and the Court

We then watched the King and the court talk about the things that were going on in the realm today. Our friend Ryan is the Town Crier and he introduces different acts who then go and do a little plug for their respective shows. while we were waiting there my cousin texted me to let me know that he was in the parking lot and we let him know where we were. Then, we never saw him all day. I got a text or two but the internet there is terrible so we never got the messages. I posted this photo above on Facebook and he cropped it and sent it back to me. He’s in the photo with his boys right behind Princess Snow and he’s waving at me. I looked back through my photos and sure enough there he is with the boys in each photo I took in that location. Now, he then went over to watch Jack Ze Whipper and did not find us. We also went to see the tail end of Jack’s show and then stayed for the comedy physic show. that followed. We watched Jack Ze Whipper on the King’s Stage a little later on.

Jack the Whipper

When Jack Ze Whipper works the King’s Stage he does the flaming whips trick and that is really impressive. I was able to snap a few shots of him with the fire whips. The kids love seeing Jack and we all follow him on Tik Tok. He’s quite funny there.

Lunch at KRF

We also watched the Stage Show Musical called Don’t Tell Momma. It was a great show with some awesome songs and we always find it super funny and worth watching. It is one of my favorite things to see while at the Faire.

We watched that and then decide to have lunch. Lunch is always a bit chaotic because of the way everything is set up. There are multiple windows and each window only has certain items. So, you have to get in line to get the thing you want and hope that you don’t want something else in a different line or you’ll be waiting in that other line too. Eva went and got her own meal, Allison took Andy to get bacon mac and cheese and she was able to get a chili topped baked potato. I went to another location where I got some Mexican street corn, called Cobbler’s corn and a hot dog. I then found us a table so that we could eat together. It was busy but not nearly as busy as it was the past two days. On Sunday the faire sold out completely. The first time in their 41 year history. Pretty amazing.

Eva as a pirate

Eva looked at many things during the day but decided not to buy anything this year. Andy was our big shopper getting himself a necklace and one for Eva plus a bag of polished stones and a dragon print that was quite beautiful. We’ll have to put that up in his room soon.

Family at KRF

It was another really nice year at the Faire. We enjoyed it very much. The faire has a couple more weeks left in this season and the weekends have been pretty decent weather wise, except for Hurricane Ian last weekend. So if you are interested in going check out KingRichardsFaire.net.
