Playing With Light
Photo-A-Day #1461

I received a birthday card from my grandmother and grandfather today. She put some confetti in it. I thought it would look cool in a glass of water in the dark with flashlights shined upon it. I got out the tripod, flashlight and a headlamp. I set up the camera so that the macro was set to shoot the glass. I set the focus and shut off the lights. I then hit the shutter, flicked on the flashlight a couple of times. I got a bunch of really noisy ones and this one was the best of the bunch. Oh and I forgot to put in the confetti.

I’m trying to be more creative and use my manual settings more. I read this really great post from another person who is doing the 31 Days to Build a Better Blog Challenge. He put together 33 strategies to Creative Capital. The post was really good with some great ideas. I’m learning some great stuff from this challenge and meeting some nice people along the way.

Today’s challenge was to promote a post. Since I really liked the 10 Essential Items for IZEAFest 2009 post that I wrote yesterday I went towards promoting that one. However, the great one that needs the most promotion right now is for Blogs, Brews and Belly Laughs II. I really need comments for that post and hope that you take the time to do that as well as take the time to join my IZEA Insider crew the “I’m Not A Famous Blogger” Crew on SocialSpark.
