The LEGO Millyard Project…

I used to live in Manchester, NH. I spent 8 years there living, going to school and then working at Saint Anselm College. During that time I spent some time working in the Manchester Millyard buildings. Our building was owned by Dean Kamen and they would test out his inventions on the floor above us. My Friend Becky who knows I am a huge LEGO fan sent me this link to the largest permanent LEGO® installation at mini figure scale in the world. It is a LEGO representation of the Manchester Mill Yards when they were in full swing. The project took over 2 years to complete. I am going to go see this exhibit sometime when I can get back up to NH for a day. The Exhibit is housed in the SEE Science Center in Manchester, NH. That is where the The LEGO Millyard Project is housed. Some interesting facts are that there are 8,000 mini figures throughout the entire project. That is amazing. The project was dedicated on November 29, 2006 and was attended by Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen, owner of the LEGO Group as well as Dean Kamen and Governor Lynch. I can’t wait to see this awesome project.
