Nana Star and the Moonman Video Review

Eva and I sit down to read Nana Star and the Moonman. Eva absolutely loves this book but what she loves much more is the audio track that goes with the story. We put both Nana star and Nana Star and the Moonman onto our ipods (including Eva’s) and she listens to it each night as she goes to bed. She even asks just for Nana Star. That actually beats out Paddington as the nighttime story on the iPod.

Elizabeth Owens 1924-2008

I received a comment today on my Nana Star review. I was informed that the creator of Nana Star, Elizabeth Owens passed away. While this is certainly sad news her life her creativity and her work touch not only the lives of her family but many families across the world. The Nana Star books are collections of wonderful tales that parents can be proud to read to their children.

I urge you also take a look at the Nana Star Foundation. With each purchase of the Nana Star book a portion of the proceeds goes to the Nana Star foundation. not only does the foundation will donate to charitable and social action organizations but it also routinely gives Nana Star books and toys to schools, libraries, and hospitals throughout the country and around the world.
