Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Figures

I received a set of the four turtle brothers from the new Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series from Playmates Toys. They sent them to my for free to play with and review. Opinions are my own.

Off the bat I am happy to see that Playmates Toys is still pricing their figures under $10 each. When I see other toy companies charging more for less it is frustrating. The Playmates figures have been consistently under $10 and they continue to improve with time. This latest set has many points of articulation and details. With each new iteration of the turtles there are more and more changes to make them unique. The first turtles toys back in the late 80’s and 90’s had four turtles that were almost exactly the same save for the colors of their masks and their weapons, oh and the letters on their belts. Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Basic Figures

On September 17, 2018 Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles debuted on Nickelodeon. I caught the premiere episode a while back and while the show has not won me over yet, I am still a huge fan of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles toys because Playmates does great work on them. They are well articulated and in a good price range. You can get a figure for under 10$ and have a great time playing. On October 1st you are going to begin seeing the brand new line of Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Toys in your local stores. These are toys that, so far, have only been around at Toy Fair, San Diego Comic Con and other exclusive places. Soon, you can get your hands on them.

Don’t get me wrong, the show has potential. there are some very good actors voicing the Turtles, too. I guess I really loved the 2013 series that this series is replacing. I just miss those Turtles. But, I am not one to stay stuck in the past and dwell on things lost. I’ll give the show another shot. Especially, because I like how they made each Turtle more unique in that they are different species of Turtle. They are more differentiated in their personality and look. I like that. I also like the look of the rest of the new toys, so check them out below. Continue reading Nickelodeon’s Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Toys are Coming October 1 from Playmates Toys
