I did attempt to make a video about LEGO Dimensions tonight but that did not happen. Although I did pick up both the Green Arrow and Supergirl LEGO Dimensions figures. I’m very excited about those especially now that there has been 3/4 of the great crossover event for all the CW shows. It has been a very exiting few days and there is still one night left. Tonight’s episode was Arrow, which was the show to start everything off and tonight was the 100th episode of this incredible show.

I saved the Funko Pop of Black Canary to open when Katie Cassidy returned as Laurel Lance. Now, I am not sure whether this Pop is the Black Canary that was Sara Lance or Laurel Lance. I guess it doesn’t matter too much because it could really be either one of them. Now I have Arrow, The Flash and Black Canary. I’m going to find White Canary from Legends of Tomorrow as well. You can see my unboxing below.

TMNT 2 Out of the Shadows Toys

I went to see Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows today after I woke up from my morning nap. I was not a fan of the previous movie but after seeing that Stephen Amell would be in TMNT2 and then to find out that characters Bebop and Rocksteady would also be in the movie I got interested. I was pleasantly surprised by the movie.

The second installment was a marked improvement over the first movie. One issue with the previous movie was the lack of action with the turtles and a terrible origin story. With that first movie out of the way and all but forgotten in my mind I could certainly go and enjoy this movie with an open mind. The action was non stop with very little downtime and that was cool. Amell did a good job portraying Casey Jones but he was a bit too clean cut for it, not rough enough around the edges. Not enough action with him either.

Bebop and Rocksteady were some big time fun additions to the movie. They were also crude and disgusting in a humorous way and I’m sure that younger fans are going to love them. The character designs for these two were awesome. I liked them better than the turtles but the turtle’s looks have grown on me.

I wouldn’t dig too deeply into this movie. It is definitely a popcorn chomper full of mega action that defies all sorts of physics and logic. Plot holes that you could drive The Tartaruga Brother’s Garbage Truck through. It doesn’t matter because the movie is fun, visually cool and a good kick off to the Summer.

In the video below I give you more of my review and also I unbox a bunch of great Turtles toys from Playmates.
