Spring Sunrise

Photo-A-Day #3643

I suppose that Spring will be coming very soon and the sunrises are getting more spectacular each morning. One very good thing about working overnights is to see these sunrises. I still wish I could get rid of that cell tower.

I was using the NX1 with the Smart Mode for sunsets. That mode gave the sunrise a deep rich warm look over the pink and purple of the morning.

The Skies at This Time of Year

Photo-A-Day #3134

While I was grilling a roast tonight I looked up at the sky and the clouds were both white and pink. The pink clouds were flying along while the white ones were staying still. It was pretty and cool. I wish I was somewhere that I could have seen it from a much better vantage point. I’ll have to get somewhere else on the next night where it has an amazing sky.

As for the roast I bought a roast the other day on my shopping trip and I had the idea to slow cook it on the grill. I covered it with a Stubbs rub overnight. I put it on low on the gas grill for a few hours and then transferred it to the charcoal grill for a few more. I cooked it with indirect heat and I think it came out pretty well.
