Today we finally got to see all the hard work that Eva put in to Shrek The Musical. She worked on the costuming for the play and has been going hard all week long to finish everything up. Today was the last performance of the play and we attended the show along with Tara, Shelby, Mem and Grandfather. Allison’s friends Jen and Colleen also watched the show with us and Paul and Laurie from marriage prep met up with us to see the show, too.
Eva had a great time at the show and she was estatic after the show. She was riding on the high of a job well done and being part of a team that put on a fantastic production. I was very impressed with the show. Everyone loved it.
Eva stayed after for a bit to finish up organizing and cleaning things up. She’ll do more later in the week but by the time we got Andy home we turned around to pick Eva back up.
This afternoon we went to see Peter and the Starcatcher at Feehan. Eva has been working on the play for months now and there has already been 2 performances with the last two of them being today. We went to the early show because I had to work tonight and also it makes it easier for others to come and see the show. Mom and Dad came down from the Cape and Shelby and Kylie came as well. Our Aunt Donna also joined us at the show.
the show as a little different with people seated on the stage and the actors acted around and with everyone. I’ve never been a part of something like that. It was also interesting to be back on that stage for a performance.
Eva’s good friend, Elizabeth was in the show and she did a phenomenal job. She had so many lines that were like crazy tongue twisters and she nailed each of them so well. We caught Eva after the show and before the final performance. She’s really enjoyed being a part of the theater this year and is looking forward to the Spring musical, Shrek.
After the show Mom and Dad took us to Box Seats for dinner. We had a very nice meal and it was good to hang out with everyone. (Group photos were from Mom’s camera)
