Disney Infinity 3.0 Toy Box Mode Explodes with More Features

It has been no secret that I have not been a big fan of the Disney Infinity Toy Box Mode. I’d rather play the different Play Sets instead. That is the type of gamer that I am. However, each year when the new Disney Infinity comes out I look forward to seeing what new features the Toy Box Mode will hold. I really want to love the Toy Box Mode and have a great experience with it. So far it has not been what I’ve wanted. I think that all that will change with the introduction of Disney Infinity 3.0. I learned about some new Toy Box Modes that will make even the most stubburn Toy Box critic a happy gamer. Check out this video preview below. and then more after that.

So what has me excited about the Toy Box Mode in Disney Infinity 3.0? There are many things coming that I am looking forward to. One is the different gameplay zones that are coming. I am interested in platforming, combat, racing and farming. Why farming? Well it looks like you can get your sidekicks and townspeople leveled up so that they can help you in other areas of the Toy Box like combat. At least that is that it looked like from the video. It also looks like if you make the townspeople stronger they can unlock other modes in the game like exploration mode. I’m interested in seeing what can be done in this new Toy Box. Will it be the Toy Box of MY dreams? Only time will tell.

Disney Infinity arrived at our house today, a couple of ways. Here’s the thing… I was on a list to get a review copy of the game. Last Tuesday I got a message from the PR firm that I wasn’t on the list and wasn’t getting a copy of the game. I was flabbergasted. I’d been promoting the game and all the while had though that I was on the review list. No dice. So I sent a message to someone that I met at the Monsters U Event. We had spent about an hour talking about the game while I saw a demo of it being played. I reached out to her, she assured me that it was all a big mistake and that I’d get a copy this week.

The thing is I’m making videos of the game and, trying to, get those videos out there while people are searching for information about Disney Infinity. It is hard to be on top of things when you don’t have the game on opening day. So, we went to Toys R Us today and just bought the game. I figure that when the review copy arrives I can return one of the games and everything is copacetic. I made a little video about it.
