Heading Home from Toy Fair 2020

Donut Day

Today was my last day at Toy Fair 2020. I packed up at the hotel and brought everything to the Javits Center. I went around to all of my meetings and then fell asleep in the press area. I entertained a couple of people with my head bob sudden freak out that I had fallen asleep. I was beat by the end of the few days at the show. My feet were killing me but I still walked a ton.

It was great to get back to Toy Fair after all these years. It was nice to see so many people that I have worked with and then to make connections with a bunch of new ones as well. I ran into one of my oldest blogging friends and he connected me with two brands that I’ve wanted to work with. He’s always looking out for me and that is what a good friend does. He even gave me an idea for something new that I should start. I’ll be working on that soon.

I saw a bunch of great things but then it was time to catch the train and head home. I celebrated Fat Tuesday with some donuts from Krispy Kreme. They were delicious on the ride home.

I’d like to thank Modarri for sending me to New York Toy Fair. It is the first time I have been able to be back in 4 years.

Today was my third day at Toy Fair and it was as packed with toys and fun as ever. I had a bunch of appointments with various toy companies and also stopped back by the Modarri booth for another fun interview. This time I interviewed Brian Gulassa the Chief Design Officer for Modarri. Brian gave a fun and enthusiastic interview and we had a great time. You can watch the interview below.

One of the companies that I visited was Super Impulse and they have a whole bunch of upcoming World’s Smallest figures that I want to collect. They have Transformers, He-Man, G.I. Joe and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I assembled my very own 80’s hero dream team in today’s photo. I saw so many other things today and even ran into one of my oldest blogging buddies, Adam Cohen who pulled me into his private your with Pokemon. You’re always looking out for me, man! thank you for that.
