The Epilogue to Transformers Prime Beast Hunters – Predacons Rising

Transformers Prime - Best Hunters: Predacons Rising

It is coming to the end for the best Transformers cartoon to come along in a long, long time. It had amazing artwork, great voice talent and a compelling story. I’ve watched all three seasons and I loved every minute of this show. I am sad to see it end.

I am happy to hear, however that the story will have a 90 minute DVD movie epilogue.

On October 8, 2013, Shout! Factory, in collaboration with Hasbro Studios, invite kids, families and loyal fans to further venture into the awe-inspiring world of TRANSFORMERS PRIME when TRANSFORMERS PRIME BEAST HUNTERS – PREDACONS RISING debuts as a special original feature on Blu-ray™+ DVD combo pack and on DVD.

I should not have let myself look at the content of the press release because I still hadn’t watched the last two shows of the season and I got spoiled on some of the details.

I finally watched the last two episodes and was blown away by the very last episode because one thing that I’ve been waiting to happen since the first Michael Bay Transformers movie finally happened. SPOILERS after the jump.

Bumblebee Spoke.

It didn’t bother me that Bumblebee went from a Volkswagen to a Camaro in the movies but I did not like that he was unable to speak. He could speak in the comic books and he could speak in Transformers Animated but he could not speak in the two original HUB shows Transformers Prime and Transformers Rescue Bots. It bothered me because Bumblebee was the bot that related to the humans most of all. He learned about our culture and was very curious and he spoke with Spike and Sparkplug and other characters. Having Bumblebee unable to speak for all of the Transformers movies was annoying after the first movie. He should have gotten his voice back by the end of the first movie but he didn’t. I had to wait until today to finally hear him speak.

The choice for his voice couldn’t have been better. Will Friedle has done a bunch of fantastic voice work and he had some of the best lines and action in the last episode, Deadlock. His scene with Megatron and then with Raf certainly were compelling to me. I will admit I got a little choked up and I am looking forward to hearing more from Bumblebee in TRANSFORMERS PRIME BEAST HUNTERS – PREDACONS RISING when it comes out on October 8th. Here is the synopsis of the DVD.

A resurrected UNICRON has taken over the now-lifeless body of MEGATRON to seek vengeance on the AUTOBOTS and ultimately, the destruction of Cybertron. This formidable enemy forces an unlikely alliance between the AUTOBOTS, DECEPTICONS, PREDAKING and two new PREDACONS, who come together in an epic battle to help protect their newly restored planet.

This DVD is in development now and there might be even more bonus content. when I know more, you’ll know more.
