Tidbits: Drive, Lost & Sasquatch

We will be seeing the other two episodes of Drive that were produced. They will be shown on Fox, on July 4th. July 4th is one of the least watched nights on TV. Fox you suck. I have to say it, you take a show and screw it up so bad and do not let it get to its full potential. But you put on such trash and crap year after year. I am with Allison on this one, I’m not watching another Fox series until the show has been renewed for a second season. I cannot get behind a show that I will really enjoy just to see Fox screw it up again. Anyway, the Drive episodes are being billed at the final episodes so the show has been canceled.

Meanwhile, as I prepare to watch tonight’s episode of Lost I have learned that I only have about 52 episodes left of this show, ever. Lost is going to end in 2010 and seasons will be only 16 episodes long.

I picked up Josh Howard Presents Sasquatch. This is a compilation of 20 different stories from 30 contributers of 250 pages about Sasquatch. Our friend Wes Molebash contributed a 15 page cute little story called Sasquatch and Timmy. I love the Molebash style of art. I wasn’t as thrilled with the dialog in this one but I think the overall story was decent. It was a nice little kids story about Sasquatch. It had that Saturday morning cartoon feel to it and maybe I was expecting something different. There were some parts that I really liked, for example adding little Andy in a frame and the kickball game was a nice way to use Sasquatches’ “Big Foot” I also liked how Wes added the line from Brian Regan’s act too. It is worth the read

There were quite a few stories and only a handful of them were to my liking. I enjoyed the art very much but the stories themselves were not as good as I had hoped for. It could be that the stories were so short could have been that I was tired and read them all in one sitting but overall I wasn’t as impressed with the whole book as I thought I was going to be. I would have thought that Josh Howard’s contributions would have been longer stories. I liked the art but again the stories fell flat.
