We’re a Keurig Family Now

Pathway
Photo-A-Day #2021

A couple of days after I came home from BlogWorld Expo I got a call from Allison telling me that she broke the French Press. When we were married (nearly 5 years ago, our anniversary is the 12 of November) we received a coffee grinder and a milk frother as a wedding gift. Neither of us drank coffee at the time. For a few years we hung onto those items but still did not drink coffee. On a trip to IKEA Allison put a French Press in our cart. She wanted to start drinking coffee at home. We used that one for a while until it broke (shattered all to hell). So we bought another one on another trip ($12.00 I think, not too bad). Well, this time when it broke Allison told her mom and her mom said that she’d get Allison an Keurig for Christmas. Christmas Came Early in our house. Allison picked up her Keurig yesterday and set it all up, she even programmed it to make her a cup 1st thing in the morning. Whoa.

It has been pretty quiet around here. Allison and I are catching up on the DVR. Eva is now correcting me when I say the wrong word in her latest favorite book “Ladybug Girl”. I think that she is starting to memorize the book as I read it and she knows what words are coming next. I’m so proud of her.

I was walking out of work and saw this fall scene and had to take a shot of it. I love the Fall.

    1. Barbara,

Allison is loving the device. She finally cleared out some tea boxes that she never used and cleared space for the K-Cups. I hear that they have hot chocolate cups, I might try those. ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. Ah, welcome my friend to the club. I love the Keurig brewer. We actually love it so much that when our first one died after three years we ran out and bought a second one. Unfortunatly the second one died pretty quickly and we called the company. They said it probably died because we hadn’t performed proper maintance but the sent us a brand new one anyway. They have excellent customer service and are an awesome company. You will be happy with it. Oh and as an added bouns if you ever have another child it makes an awesome instant cup of hot watter to warm your babby bottles in. ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Kevin,
Thanks for the advice on the hot water. I’m sure that Allison will get plenty of use from the Keurig. I’m not a coffee drinker, so it is a little lost on me. But at least I don’t have to deal with coffee grounds in the French press every day. (To be fair Allison cleaned that a lot but I did clean it mean times as well.)

    1. Kevin,
I will check, it is not one of the standard options, I’ll be back at the house on Monday to test through internet connection, it is wireless so it might be something you are able to access though the internet option.
